Into the Badlands is a show on AMC & Netflix, that features wonderful action, a great cast of characters, and twisty plotlines. It may not be the number one show out there, but it sure is entertaining. Waiting on the second half of the third season to release, and whether or not they wrap up the story or move on into a fourth! Well while we wait, we've created a couple of items inspired by the show! First we have two 8"x 10" canvas art boards, painted with the emblems of two of the factions. The Quinn's Armadillo Logo painted in Reds, Oranges, & Gold. The Widow's Butterfly Logo painted in Gunmetal, Golds, & Bronzes. Two art pieces ready to hang in your private theater room, dorm, or living room. Then we also have a rustic and worn Armadillo Satchel, whether you are working the poppy fields or clipping people for the baron, you may need to stow your gear. Just in case you defect to the Widow's Clan, we've added her symbol under the flap of the bag. Both of the symbols have been painted in a metallic gold on the distressed green & brown soft cotton tote! The military surplus satchel does show some wear and rust on it, but it just adds to the appeal & gives off that post-apocalyptic vibe! So be ready to be the scavenger and add these cool creations to your collection! Show your fandom & support for the show in a not so subtle way. Here is the trailer from the season one kick off, if you aren't that familiar with the show. Stay safe out there in the Badlands...And we'll see you next time!
Here we are again, another What's Cool Wednesday for you all. We are six days away from Halloween! What are your plans this year? Trick or Treating? Halloween Party to host or attend? Dress up as an evil clown and wander the streets aimlessly? Summon the Slender Man? Or perhaps just stay at home, in the dark, and watch Halloween & Horror Movies? Speaking of Halloween themed movies...one of our favorites around here is the Nightmare Before Christmas, it is the perfect mix of Halloween & Christmas, which makes it perfect for viewing for the entire holiday season! I was lucky enough to catch it on the big screen during the original 1993 release (yes I'm old), being a fan of both Tim Burton & Danny Elfman it was an instant masterpiece in my eyes & ears. Today we have a little something inspired by this film... It is a wonderfully re-imagined version of Sally, an Enesco Figurine from the Couture de Force line. Here we see Sally dressed in a retro french fashion, and ready to hit the town! A beautiful edition just released & we were lucky enough to pick one up for the site! Check her out in the Nightmare Before Christmas section of the shop! Another fun franchise to throw on at Halloween time, would be the Friday the 13th films! This Camp Crystal Lake Killer, has been stalking around the screens since 1980, and his hockey mask (actually introduced in Part 3), has become a Horror Film Icon and a Halloween staple! Being a fan of the original (1978) Halloween Film, I was introduced to the Friday the 13th films by the Scott Bot himself, and became a fan of Jason Voorhees. It was with this fandom in mind, I was able to create the Friday the 13th shadowbox. It proudly displays a blood-splattered hockey mask peeking out of a blood-splattered frame! It is all ready for you to display & creep out your friends! Plus, if you want to take it one step beyond, display it near a blacklight, and it adds that eerie other-worldly glow! There is only one of these horrific art pieces, and any horror fan would love it year around in their collection! Well we hope you enjoy your Halloween, no matter where you end up! We hope it is scary, yet safe! See you next week and remember... It is OCTOBER! The Spooky Month! Autumn Weather! Creepy Clowns! Roaming Spirits! Candy Beggars! Halloween Fun! Well we are kicking it off here with a Vampire, a Pumpkin King, a Slasher, & a Football Player (???)!!! Well let me explain...we have added a True Blood Collector's Set which contains the viking vampire Eric Northman bust and two variants of the True Blood IDW Comic Book issue #3. The statue is #1979 of 5000, stands about 7.25" high. The comics are two variant covers by artist Joe Corroney, the black & white retailers incentive version, and the full color version! Also behold these two fun art pieces for your collection! The Sketch Cards! Jack Skellington from the wonderful Nightmare Before Christmas world! Plus, the slasher Michael Myers of Halloween horror film fame! Both come with a glass jack o' lantern jar/display stand. These two cool pieces were created by Anthony Aguilera for the #inktober craze on social media! These two pieces are sold separately, but would make a great set for any fan of the Halloween Holiday! And as for the Football Player, there is the Will Fuller Rookie Card Set! This set contains two very collectible trading cards, one is an authentic autograph card and the other is a player worn piece of jersey card! The former Notre Dame player, Will Fuller is currently playing for the Houston Texans in the NFL. Not quite creepy or spooky, unless you consider him a scary good player... Annnnnnyhow, that about wraps up this week's Site News...
